The Rega Elex Mk1 (originally known simply as the "Elex") is a vintage integrated amplifier launched in 1990. Alongside the more expensive Elicit, it marked Rega's entry into the amplification world, instantly becoming an iconic piece thanks to its cast-aluminum "clamshell" design.

• Power Output: Approximately 35W–36W per channel into 8 ohms. Despite the modest figures on paper, it is known for delivering great drive capability and authority, surpassing many competitors of its era.

• Design: Ultra-sturdy matte black "clamshell" chassis that functions entirely as a heat sink.

• Circuitry: Fully discrete component design featuring a symmetrical and complementary internal layout.

• Inputs: Includes a high-quality MM (Moving Magnet) phono stage, along with line inputs for CD, Tuner, and Tape.
